My future self will be working as a Chief Intelligence Officer
As I mentioned before, I believe that the role I'm envisioning ultimately belongs at the top of the Business Intelligence heirarchy - which currently doesn't make sense because currently Business Intelligence is TKTK the data TKTK. I belive Business Intelligence will expand not just to mean the processes of the feedback loops, but the entire matrix of the company - the mission, the values, the strategy, the processes and procedures, and the the people. As Director of Business Intelligence, I will be responsible for what call BI Cartography® - the mapping of this matrix. My responsibilities as C.I.O. are as follows:

I would really like to work to rehabilitate a company that is at the crux of their business lifecycle where they were the dominant player in a market, and are loosing position due to the entropy of time and the lack of a visionary tok.

The need for this work is obvious even now, as is evident by the overabundance of meetings and the lack of employee satisfaction across the board. In short, people and business are drowning in

Honestly, with the ever-changing world of business roles and titles, it's hard find the exact title for what I do - but it is certainly not hard to find the need for what I do. For now, I call it a B.I. Cartographer.
THE NEED
With the advent of, and ever-increasing speed and capacity of, computers and the internet, the world had become exponentially faster and more complex. However, this does not necessarily equate to progress. Progress relates to TKTK to any goal at hand, but in many cases it seems that the tktk are running tktk. This is evident by:
➜ The out-of-control meeting culture of most white-collar-work [LINK]
➜ The constant churn of new programs, committees, ttktk, and tktkt.
➜ The general dissatisfaction of the workforce
The consequences of this are so much wasted time and money.
B.I. Cartographer.
The main job of a B.I. Cartographer is to ensure that
I now have a clear direction for the KTKT, and not a single job title that matches? Not only does there not seem to be a job title for this work, but this works seems like it can be applied to any job title that tktk.
While every company I had ever worked for spent a lot of time and money managing their data, they did not on other vital areas such as Content, Processes, Documentation, Training, etc. The result of this lack of care lead to so much wasted time in pointless meetings, counter-productive processes, byzantine file structure that make it impossible to find things, etc.
I feel strongly that it should fall under the umbrella of Business Intelligence, but currently the purview of Business Intelligence is limited to data.
I believe in the future Business Intelligence will expand to include things like process, tktk. tktk.
What is Business Intelligence Today?
Business intelligence (BI) is a combination of various technologies, tools, and methodologies that gather, analyze, and transform data into meaningful information. IN short, BI is a process of collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support business decision-making.
Someone in Business Intelligence (BI) acts as the bridge between raw corporate data and strategic decision-making. They transform complex company numbers into actionable insights, helping businesses optimize operations, increase profitability, and shape future growth
The day-to-day responsibilities typically include:
👉🏽 Building Data Dashboards: Designing interactive, visual reports (often using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) so executives and managers can see company performance at a glance.
👉🏽 Data Cleaning & Integration: Gathering information from various departments (sales, finance, marketing) and merging it into a centralized, accurate database.
👉🏽 Identifying Trends: Spotting patterns in the numbers to answer vital business questions, such as why customer churn is rising or where operational costs can be cut.
👉🏽 Stakeholder Communication: Presenting findings to non-technical leaders and suggesting data-driven recommendations to solve business challenges
What is Comprehensive Business Intelligence?
Today the purview of Business Intelligence remains strictly in data analysis, but I contend that the scope of Business Intelligence is well beyond just data - and should include things such as the processes, procedure and procedures, and personnel.
